Year 3&4 Camp 2026

Our Year 3 and 4 students recently enjoyed a fantastic school camp experience, held right here on our school grounds. With our local Marae currently undergoing renovations, the green square was transformed into a lively campsite as children and teachers pitched their tents and embraced the adventure of sleeping under the stars. The camp was themed “Space Camp,” and students took part in a range of fun, space-themed activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. A highlight of the camp was a day trip to the Stardome Observatory & Planetarium, where students learned more about the Solar System and explored the wonders of space.

The visit to the Stardome was a particularly memorable experience for many of our students. Sitting inside the planetarium dome as the night sky moved above them brought squeals of excitement, laughter, and plenty of wide-eyed wonder. Experiences like this help bring learning to life in a truly special way. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many parents and helpers who generously gave their time to support the camp. From helping to put up and pack down tents to assisting with the wide range of activities, your support made this experience possible. Camps like this rely on the strength of our school community, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to making it such a successful and memorable event.
